Two young men lean together until their brows touch in Whispered Affection, a gay renaissance art print painted in the manner of an old-master portrait. The dark-haired man on the left lowers his gaze while his fair-haired partner turns in close, half his face lost in shadow, as though sharing something meant for one listener only. Low in the frame, their hands find each other. Warm candlelight picks out bare shoulders and chests in honey and bronze against a smoky olive background, and fine crackle across the surface gives the look of an aged canvas. It's a quiet, tender piece of gay artwork that relies on light and stillness rather than spectacle.

Perfect for:

  • A bedroom or reading room with a dark, classical interior
  • Collectors of gay art and old-master-style figurative painting
  • Hanging as a pair with Quiet Devotion
  • A gift for a husband, boyfriend or partner

  • Rich, vibrant museum-quality paper of up to 240gsm thick

PAPER FINISHES

GLOSS: Shiny and vibrant! Colours pop, and details look sharp. Best for eye-catching posters but can have glare under bright lights. Fingerprints may show up. Note, this finish is available for print only / unframed posters.

SATIN/SEMI-GLOSS: A middle ground. Slightly shiny but not too reflective. Colours are still rich, but with less glare than glossy. A good balance for both looks and durability. (Available for print only, unframed posters). Note, this finish is available for print only / unframed posters.

MATTE: No shine at all. Gives a soft, elegant look with deep, rich tones. Great for art-style posters or text-heavy prints since there’s no glare. Colours may be slightly muted due to the nature of matte paper. This paper finish is available for framed and unframed / print only posters.

Due to minor variations in colour reproduction between monitors, devices, and printing equipment, the final printed product may differ slightly in colour from the image displayed on your screen.
